Here are a few answers to questions that we’re often asked. We hope you find the information helpful.
How much time does it take to make a candle?
Typically, it will take approximately one hour to make your selections and create the candle you would like to make. Once the candle is poured, depending on the size of candle you make, your candle will take approximately two to four hours to cool completely. Once we take it out of it’s mold we need a couple minutes to finish it up and get it ready to go home with you.
How many guests should I invite?
We have found that a group of eight to twelve works well for a candle making gathering. In either studio location we can accommodate up to twenty-four guests however.
What is an average price I can expect to spend on my gathering?
Candle making averages about $25 - $30 per person. If you would like to bring in a bottle of wine to enjoy while candle making we charge $2 per person to cover the cost for the use of glasses and opener. For a ceremony in our ocean view Laguna Beach location please add $20 per person. Do I need to put down a deposit to reserve my gathering?
Yes, we ask that upon booking your gathering you leave a 25% deposit paid via credit card or cash.
What is your cancellation policy once I book my gathering?
We refund 50% of the deposit one week prior to your gathering and 25% four days prior. Sorry, no refund if you need to cancel three days prior to the date of your event.
Do you still hold ceremonies in your new Laguna Beach location?
In our original Laguna Beach location we had a dedicated ceremony room where we conducted blessing ceremonies to honor a special occasion in life. In our new Laguna Beach Coast Highway location we can also offer a blessing ceremony however only after studio hours or off site in a local location. Our ceremonies are non-denominational, as are all things at Pure Light. Our spirituality is based in the higher powers of nature. We are open to all cultures and faiths.
